In conjunction with Signal studios with financial supported from City of Melbourne and Vic Arts.


Over five Saturdays in May, aspiring young illustrators, writers and comic artists joined forces with comic maker Michael Fikaris and the silent army comic collective to explore storytelling through illustration and comic book making. Throughout these workshops young people and artists collaborated to create weekly pages which have been anthologised for this publication, documenting the process and sharing stories that indeed reflect that everyday life is full of powerful and interesting stuff!

Artists include : Mandy Ord, Simon Hanselmann, Stewart Cole, Sam Wallman, Kieran Mangan and Michael Fikaris.

Silent Army Projects acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing
​connection to land, waters and culture. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
