Silent Army Projects (Silent as in writing & drawing, Army as in many as possible) began in 2010 as a community endeavor of MP Fikaris to create collaboration and connection. The printed collections started as a low key, independent effort of enthusiasm to see more printed matter in the era of big tech digital culture.
Silent Army Storeroom (2011 - today) began as a series of purpose built spaces operating within shared studio warehouses in Naarm/Melbourne. Designed for small press publication launches, discussion and the purpose of bringing people together, there are also always small press books stored for pop up opportunities out of the studio.
Silent Army Reading Room (2020 - today) is evolving as part of our archive project celebrating small press comics, graphic zines, and artist books.
